Suicide Awareness Pin Bundle
According to the CDC in 2022, more than 1.6 million people attempted suicide, and over 49,000 lives were lost. Any number greater than zero is alarming. Each statistic represents a person who reached a point of such deep pain, isolation, or hopelessness that they felt there was nowhere left to turn. Even more concerning are the countless individuals who struggle silently with suicidal thoughts—often unseen, unheard, and unsure how to ask for help.
This miniature bundle was thoughtfully curated to support therapeutic conversations around suicide awareness, survival, loss, and hope. It offers symbolic representations for individuals who have attempted suicide, those who live with suicidal ideation, and those who have been impacted by the attempt or death of someone they love.
Included symbols may represent:
-
The experience of attempting or surviving
-
Living with ongoing thoughts or urges
-
Grieving a family member or loved one
-
The complex emotions surrounding shame, fear, anger, confusion, and sorrow
The semicolon holds a particularly powerful meaning within this bundle. It represents a pause—not an ending. A moment where the story could have stopped, but instead continued. It honors survival, resilience, and the courage it takes to keep going, even when the path forward feels uncertain or heavy.
This bundle is intended to:
-
Bring awareness to the reality of suicidal thoughts and behaviors
-
Create space for honest, non-judgmental exploration in the sandtray
-
Support clients in naming pain while also recognizing hope
-
Encourage conversations about reaching out, staying, and choosing life
Let this bundle be a tool for honoring stories, holding space for grief, and gently reminding clients—and ourselves—that help exists, connection matters, and even after a pause, the story can continue.
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
